Publication week round up

Updated: May 9

What a week! I don't think I've ever celebrated a book release for so long and my goodness, what a welcome to the world The Holiday Escape has received!

The last few days have been a whirl of online and in person events - with folk travelling from as far as Derbyshire and Coventry - and an abundance of book signings and rave reviews!

Books and blooms are always a wonderful combination and I've had so many beautiful bunches I've had to pop some in my vintage celery jar. These are the loveliest match for the cover and they smell divine, too.

For me, it wouldn't be a proper celebration without champagne and for the first time ever, I was able to raise a glass during pub week with my wonderful Dad. He was determined to try and edge out of the shot, but I captured the moment before he ducked out!

Now I'm feeling as zonked as my gorgeous, Storm, but it has all been so worth it. I'm back in Wynbridge this week, and loving working on the second draft of Home for Christmas. Thankfully, there isn't too much to do and I think that's because I'm already so in love with the fabulous festive story.

I still haven't quite finished celebrating though and will be appearing not once, but twice at the Deepings Literary Festival this weekend. This is an afternoon tea event and I'm not sure how my waistline will cope with two sittings, but I'm going to give it my best shot. And my comfiest elasticated waist trousers!

So my loves, that's it for now. Keep checking back here for updates between my monthly newsletters - I'll be launching another Holiday Escape giveaway soon - and in the meantime, keep reading!

With love
