I couldn't quite believe the response I had to the suggestion I posted on my Facebook Author Page about the possibility of featuring a cat in my next book! The Swainette Squad voted in full force and the result was a resounding YES!
So, now we know that there will be a feline friend popping up in the pages, I thought it would be fun to let you name her!
Storm is completely onboard with the idea and very much looking forward to me talking to her for hours about someone she can relate to. Apparently, she doesn't always appreciate me waxing lyrical about my human book pals...
So, this fictional feline, isn't having the best start in life. She's small, scrawny, black (just like my girl) and needs you to name her.
If you'd like to take part, please leave your suggested name in the comments box below this post. I'll select a winner in a week or two - when there are enough names to pick from - and when the book is published, I'll send you a signed copy!
Thank you and good luck!
H and S xx
Hi Heidi,
I currently have five rescue cats, mainly black, as they are my favourite, but after handrearing a brother and sister Rubens (ginger) and Robyn (torti/tabby) I couldn't part with them. My first rescue was Tinsel, a beautiful black cat who came to us at Christmas and never left hense her name. We also have Gyppie, who's mainly black with some white. I was going to call her Gypsy but my daughter kept calling her Gyppie so that stuck. Our fifth is a black boy called Gary. They are all wonderful cats with different personalities. We also had Fifi who was a small black cat, no longer with us but always in our hearts....she was small in size but…
Hi Heidi. I think Magic would be a great name for a black cat. Perhaps she could be called ‘Madge’ for short. I had an Auntie Madge and she was lovely. Good luck choosing! Cheers from Australia ❤️🐈⬛
Sparky! Our family has a rescue cat called Sparky, inspired by where she was found as a tiny kitten - at an electrical power station. Not only is her name a nod to her origins, but it matches her character too, energetic, feisty, playful and curious!
Squidgy was my nieces lovely cat who moved from Dereham to Norwich. He was a lovely very big cat,
Our black cat Rocky thinks that Storm is beautiful and he also told me that he thinks your kitty character should be called Luna. X
